To make the most out of your Western Student Experience, we encourage you to stay engaged within your residence and campus community. Staff in the Office of Residence Education & Programs (OREP) work to provide residents with a myriad of leadership, academic and social programs that help you adjust to university life, build connections with your fellow residents, and develop your "outside the classroom" skills which help you grow as a person. Basically, anything you might consider an "extra-curricular activity" in residence involves the OREP office in some way.
We encourage you to make the most out of your residence experience: join your Residents' Council, attend Study Skills Workshops, participate in bus trips to sporting events in Toronto, perform at a coffee house, apply for an Alternative Spring Break trip, or register for the Residence Leadership Conference... the opportunities are endless.
We believe that learning is not limited to opening a book or listening to a lecture. We learn from every moment, situation and personal encounter, both inside and outside the classroom. Remember to make the most out of your residence experience - this is your home away from home for the next eight months, so take advantage of all residence has to offer!
